There are a wide range of activities within close proximity of Eagles Nest.

The Bay of Islands is a world-renowned holiday destination for deep sea and big game fishing as well as sailing and cruising throughout the many picture perfect islands, bays and coves.

The region is also known for its dolphin and whale watching, secluded beaches, lush native bush walks, and historic attractions. It epitomizes clean, green New Zealand.

If you are feeling adventurous, sea kayaking, para-sailing, sky diving, water skiing, scuba diving and snorkeling are all available. Tennis in Russell and golf at Waitangi or the internationally acclaimed Kauri Cliffs can be arranged.

Health and Fitness

At Eagles Nest we know you may require to keep your fitness levels up during your leisure time and with this in mind please take note of the services we can provide for you. The Estate is proud to offer personal training by Derrin Tuckey. Derrin was recently named the "Fitness Life New Zealand Personal Trainer of the Year" and "Netfit Fitness Professional of the Year". Derrin brings many years of experience within the industry, having trained elite sportsmen and women, weight gain and weight loss clients and rehabilitation clients. Derrin is on the estate daily and it would be our pleasure to schedule an appointment for you.

In addition to personal training, Eagles Nest lodge are pleased to offer professional mountain bikes for your enjoyment within the Estate or perhaps a picturesque ride along one of the Department of Conservation tracks dotted throughout Russell, alternatively there is a 1.5 Km jogging circuit that partially includes the Estate, this takes in medium to high levels of fitness depending on the distance and the degree of difficulty you may require, however the circuit is a great way to enjoy the environs of Tapeka Point and Eagles Nest.

Eagles Nest staff are also happy to provide within the privacy of your own Villa, free weights and Swiss Balls, The Estate also encompasses various natural walking tracks to enjoy the natural flora and forna of the area and these tracks are all well laid out and only require low fitness levels to enjoy at any time, and of course three of the four villas have their own private heated horizon edge lap pools ideal for toning, then after what ever level of fitness you enjoy luxuriate in your private spa or why not reserve a Private in Villa massage or beauty therapy with Eagles Nest trained Therapist who offers a variety of treatments for our most discerning clients, treatments include Hot Stone Massage that draws on ancient Native American Traditions, great for boosting the immune system and unblocking energy, traditional Swedish massage with lymphatic drainage and Shiatsu, Indian Head Massage (Champissage) the ideal treatment to release the stress of the corporate environment, and add to this tropical Body Rituals including Deluxe Spa Manicure, Total Body Scrub, Deluxe Spa Pedicure as well as a selection of full Facial Treatments you will feel like you are in heaven with so much pampering (please note all treatments must be reserved 24 hours prior to commencement).
