Huka Lodge offers you a range of superb suites and two very special cottages from which to choose.
Junior Lodge Suites
Wander from your suite onto the wooden terrace and take in the views of the thundering Waikato River as it rushes by.
Or just laze about on your quality bedding and if you are feeling indigent, perhaps a freshly baked biscuit?
Your spacious bathroom includes a deep bath, luscious towels and heated floors, perfect for kicking the shoes off on those cooler nights.
A spacious dressing room completes the picture and ensures an ideal environment in which to relax and unwind.
Lodge Suite
Enveloped by serene bush on three sides, the Lodge Suite is a place for you to immerse yourself in the serenity that makes Huka Lodge so special.
Spacious comfortable rooms include a decadent bedroom complete with a super king bed, a dressing area, a lounge area with desk and a luxurious en-suite bathroom. A connecting room features a comfortable lounge and dining area, a gas fire and another elegant bathroom. The second bedroom provides an ideal opportunity for family stays, and the superb vista out onto the Waikato make this an intoxicating place to stay.
Owner's Cottage
The Owner's Cottage provides an opportunity for larger groups (maximum of 8) to experience the luxury, seclusion and peace of Huka Lodge Taupo.
Four superb en suited guest rooms surround the stunning central living area which includes a lounge, dining room, kitchen and den area.
Decorated with many special pieces of furniture and artwork by some of New Zealand's finest artists it's an ideal spot for friends and family to mingle and enjoy the delights of Huka Lodge.
Each guest room features super king beds, comfy chairs, and to top things off, a romantic open fire.
Two of the rooms face the river and two have lovely private court yards.
The cottage grounds also contain one of the lodge's famous outdoor fireplaces.
Your bathrooms feature heated floors, deep baths and showers, soaring ceilings, and lots of light, and each has an adjoining dressing area.
The Den features plush lounge chairs, a computer, TV, DVD player and an open fire. A superbly appointed kitchen is available for your use, or you may choose to dine at the main lodge. The choice is yours.
Outdoors, extensive decking leads to the infinity pool. Take a dip or relax in the heated spa. Or just laze around on the plentiful outdoor furniture.
The Alan Pye Cottage
Beautifully located and surrounded by rolling lawns, the Alan Pye Cottage is a very special place to kick back and enjoy the serenity that surrounds you.
In the distance the thundering Huka Falls echo through the gorge, whilst all around, native birds dance and sing.
Built to reflect the style of an era gone by, the cottage has been meticulously crafted with a range of weathered, substantial materials, featuring stone and wood.
Antiques and Maori artefacts decorate the cottage and a sense of space is enhanced by towering ceilings and a subdued, welcoming color palette.
The spacious living room features an open fireplace and floor to ceiling doors at either end. These lead to the infinity pool and river at one end, and to the garden and stunning outdoor pavilion at the other.
Each of the two large suites feature fireplaces, beautiful en suite bathrooms, and separate dressing areas.
Choose to use the fully equipped kitchen or wander over to the main lodge to dine.
Tucked away is a study with it's own bathroom, desk, TV and sound system.
An outdoor spa, pavilion, and fireplace complete this haven.
